Introduction
Welcome!
I am Blanka Kívés, a counselling psychologist and Adlerian counsellor living and working in Budapest.
My curiosity about the developmental potential of children's minds brought me to the field of psychology.
Yet, I ended up working with adults in a special field: I became a psychologist at the Hungarian Prison Services, providing counseling, stress and crisis management for inmates. In this environment, I learned the key helping skills in crisis supportand rehabilitation.
Having studied in 3 different countries, I gained international experience in the education of Psychology in Hungary, South Korea and the US. I also have multicultural teaching experience gathered from South Korea and Italy.
The crisis counseling , the psychology of intercultural relations and communities , as well as career counseling are my areas of expertise. Those who seek my counseling will receive support to overcome the difficulties and crises built up inside them, which will lead to courage, self-respect and self-exploration.
I am committed to helping adolescent and adults with life's challenges. One of the main goals of my work is to empower individuals to overcome obstacles and reach their full potential. Whether it is personal, relationship or career related difficulties, I am here to provide support and ensure emotional fulfillment.
I work in both English and Hungarian.
